Appraisal Meeting for the Undergraduate Program in Industrial Management at HUIT

On March 22, 2026, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade (HUIT) held an appraisal meeting for the undergraduate program in Industrial Management. The meeting aimed to build a high-quality workforce that meets the development requirements of modern industry, with core objectives centered on Industry 4.0, digital transformation, technology, and green, sustainable development.

The Industrial Management training program is designed to equip students with essential knowledge and skills, focusing on the management and operation of smart production systems.

The curriculum is designed to provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills in industrial management, with a focus on managing and operating smart production systems. Students will be equipped with the capacity to use technological tools such as ERP, AI, and Big Data for decision-making and work management. Additionally, the program emphasizes practical skill development, enabling students to apply their knowledge to real-world tasks.

The Appraisal Council consisted of experienced experts, scientists, and industry representatives in the fields of industrial management and technology management, including: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Han Khanh – Dean of the Faculty of Logistics and Industrial Management at Thu Dau Mot University, as the Council Chairman; Dr. Nguyen Thi Duc Nguyen – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Management at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT), as Reviewer 1; Dr. Vong Thinh Nam – Head of Department at the Faculty of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH), as Reviewer 2; Dr. Tran Do Hoai Bao – CEO of He Vi Manufacturing and Trading Joint Stock Company, as a Member; and Dr. Ho Thi Hong Xuyen – Deputy Head of Department at the Faculty of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH), as the Council Secretary.

Representing the faculty at the meeting were Dr. Bui Hong Dang – Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Economics and Management and Dr. Bui Quoc Viet – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Economics and Management. On behalf of the faculty, Dr. Truong Kim Phung presented a detailed overview of the training program, aiming to provide students with solid foundations in industrial management, logistics, and emerging industrial technologies. The program also places a special emphasis on practical skills to help students apply knowledge to their actual work.

During the meeting, numerous contributions were provided by experts, lecturers, and industry representatives. These insights focused on enhancing the practical applicability of the curriculum, ensuring that students can meet the actual demands of companies in the industry.

The event marks a significant step in finalizing the Industrial Management training program at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, opening opportunities for students to access advanced knowledge and skills while meeting the sustainable development needs of Vietnam’s industrial sector in the future.
