Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade Participates in the 2025 National Conference on Educational Science – Developing Educational Science in the Era of Innovation and Digital Transformation: Challenges, Opportunities, and Strategic Orientations
On December 17, 2025, the Ministry of Education and Training, in collaboration with Hanoi University, successfully organized the 2025 National Conference on Educational Science under the theme: “Developing Educational Science in the Digital Transformation Era: Challenges, Opportunities, and Strategic Orientations.” The conference attracted nearly 300 delegates from across the country.

The conference was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Phuc – Deputy Minister of Education and Training, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Hung – Director General of the Vietnam National Institute of Educational Sciences (VNIES), along with representatives from various Departments and Agencies under the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET). Also in attendance were leaders of educational management agencies, higher education institutions, research institutes, and local Departments of Education and Training, alongside a large number of scientists, lecturers, teachers, interdisciplinary researchers, and contributing authors.
In his opening remarks, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Phuc highly commended the active response from the scientific community, noting the participation of over 150 educational institutions and more than 200 submitted papers. The Deputy Minister emphasized that the coming period requires strong companionship from educational scientists through rigorous, objective, and highly applicable research. This is especially crucial given the profound impacts of digital transformation, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Educational Technology (EdTech). These efforts aim to fulfill the objectives of Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development, striving towards the goal that by 2045, Vietnam will possess a modern, equitable, and high-quality national education system, ranking among the top 20 leading nations in the world.

The morning session featured a plenary meeting with 05 keynote speakers who are leading experts in the field. They presented 05 keynote reports focusing on educational science development policies, innovation in teacher training, quality accreditation and university governance, as well as digital competency development and EdTech. In the afternoon, parallel sessions were held across 04 specialized sub-committees: Psychology and Human Development (Sub-committee 1); Modern Theory in Curriculum Development (Sub-committee 2); Educational Policy and Management (Sub-committee 3); and Educational Technology, Digital Transformation, and AI Applications (Sub-committee 4). Selected outstanding reports from these sessions were published in the Conference Proceedings with an official ISBN.

Additionally, an exhibition area showcasing educational science and technology products and models attracted significant interest from delegates, contributing to the dissemination of the values and impacts of educational science within the community.

The delegation from Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade (HUIT) participated in the conference, represented by: Dr. Thai Doan Thanh – Vice President of the University; Dr. Le Thi Linh Giang – Deputy Director of the Quality Management Center; and Ms. Phan Thi Phuong Thao – Specialist at the Quality Management Center. Their attendance affirms the University's commitment to bridging educational research with the practicalities of management and higher education development in the context of digital transformation.

Notably, the paper titled “Developing Internal Quality Assurance Systems in Vietnamese Universities,” authored by the HUIT research team, was selected by the Organizing Committee for publication in the National Conference Proceedings (ISBN). This marks a significant recognition of the academic quality and the contemporary relevance of their research on higher education quality assurance in the digital age.

This year’s conference served not only as an academic exchange for updating research strategies and digital transformation solutions in education but also as a forum to promote empirical research and technology application. It aimed to strengthen the nexus between research, policy, and practice, while fostering innovation in curriculum, teaching methods, and educational governance to meet the nation's development requirements in the digital era./.
