Functions and Key Responsibilities of the Faculty of Industrial Economics and Management

The Faculty of Industrial Economics and Management, a constituent academic unit of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, is assigned the following core functions and responsibilities:
- Managing lecturers, staff, employees, and students of the Faculty in accordance with the delegation of authority by the Rector.
- Planning and implementing educational and training activities in alignment with the University’s overall academic plan.
- Planning and and executing scientific research and technological development activities; promoting international cooperation; establishing partnerships with research institutions, enterprises, and relevant organizations; and actively engaging industry stakeholders in the Faculty’s training and academic programs.
- Monitoring, supervising, and coordinating teaching and research activities across departments; facilitating continuous improvement of academic quality in alignment with the University’s strategic objectives.
- Developing plans and organize faculty- and university-level conferences, seminars, and academic activities for students.
- Formulating and implementing plans for the development of academic staff, academic programs, and facilities to support teaching and research, while strengthening quality assurance conditions.
- Organizing educational activities on political awareness, ethics, and professional conduct for staff and students; implementing the training and professional development programs to enhance the qualifications and competencies of Faculty personnel.
- Conducting performance evaluations of Faculty personnel and participate in the evaluation of managerial staff within the University in accordance with institutional regulations.
- Managing assigned facilities and equipment in compliance with applicable laws and University regulations.
- Taking responsibility for seeking jobs for students after their graduations.
